The Episcopal General Convention voted July 11-12, 2012, to adopt an amendment to their canon on Bible translations.  Canon II.2 now includes the Common English Bible and is endorsed by the House of Bishops and House of Deputies.  On the first birthday of the CEB, with the Apocrypha, we are excited to be endorsed as acceptable for use in Episcopal worship and personal study.
 
The Common English Bible is written in contemporary idiom at the same reading level as the newspaper USA TODAY- using language that is comfortable and accessible for today's readers.
