Lauren and Tracy met each other in the fourth grade at St. Andrew’s Episcopal School in Mississippi. They have been best friends ever since. Their combined hobbies include reading, writing, dancing, drawing, and playing the piano. The idea for this book originated when they were offered an opportunity through school to travel with other 7^th and 8^th graders to New York City. It was a journey that Tracy and Lauren dearly wanted to be a part of. As some concerns arouse about how to cover the costs of the trip, their friend, Taylor, suggested that they publish a collection of Lauren’s poems with Tracy’s illustrations as a way to help pay the fees.
