This is the book usually found in the pews across the country in Episcopal churches. (We have observed that most churches use the red covered volume in the pews. Many of our customers like to own a black covered volume so that it will not be mixed up with those at church.) The publisher makes this one of reliable durability, a good choice for churches. It measures 5 3/8" by 7 3/4" and 1 3/8" thick. For purchasing more than a few of these the shipping charges will be lower if you phone or E-mail us with your order.
The type font is about 9-point.
This volume now includes the Revised Common Lectionary replacing the former Sunday Eucharistic Lectionary. (The Daily Office Lectionary has not changed and it remains as it has been in this book.)
The Episcopal Church uses the prayer book during worship, in the sacrament of the Holy Eucharist, as well as during the Daily Offices of Morning Prayer, Evening Prayer, and Compline. Episcopalians also value The Book of Common Prayer (prayer book) for daily private devotions and prayers.
