When you need a copy of the Revised Common Lectionary, Episcopal Edition, in NRSV for reading in a service or on your own it is difficult to find a better edition than this volume. The print is dark and easy to read from a lectern. This paperback edition is bound specifically to lie flat. It contains the RCL for all three years of the Eucharistic lectionary cycle. The Psalms selections are written out not simply noted by number and verse. Old Testament readings during Pentecost include both tracks.

This volume measures 6 inches wide by 9 inches tall and about 1 1/16 inches thick. By our measurement the font size is about 11 point.

General Convention of June 2006 directed that the Revised Common Lectionary replace the Book of Common Prayer lectionary effective the First Sunday of Advent 2007 (resolution A077). It made provision for continued use of the previous lectionary "for purposes of orderly transition, with the permission of the Ecclesiastical Authority," until the First Sunday of Advent 2010.

You can read more information about the structure and use of the Revised Common Lectionary here.

I am very pleased with my copy of the Revised Common Lectionary.

I am very pleased with my copy of the Revised Common Lectionary. As a Lector I do not always have time to go by the church to read the Lessons appointed for the day that I am reading. Having a copy of the Lectionary at home helps me.

Great reference

This reference has proved its usefulness starting with the first Sunday. It's a quick and easy reference to the readings and I use it weekly. I don't know how I did without it.

a good book to have & use

This book is a valuable tool. I sue it at home while i prepare sermons. I use it at work as I plan liturgies. I give it as gifts for readers in my family. I recommend to the readers in the church I serve.

It helps me keep on track through the Church Year

I am a web master for 6 Episcopal Churches in the Diocese of West Texas. I use this Lectionary in the development of pew sheets for Sunday worship. We utilize a data base developed by another member, primarily. But, I also do the foreign language one. It helps me keep on track through the Church Year(s). I bought a second for a gift for a new church member. She loves it as well.

I ordered the incorrect item and returned it for credit. Very prompt service. Other book sellers may have told me "tough luck, you're stuck with the item you ordered incorrectly.

Revised Common Lectionary

I am a Lay Eucharistic Minister. I ordered the Lectionary Book so to be able to know what readings are for each Sunday and I am able to know the lessons before my scheduled readings. I couldn't be more pleased with the service I received in ordering the book. Ordered and received it in 4 days.
